They say that you die a hero or live long enough to become a villain.
Today, we are going to talk about a skilled warrior, talented and powerful, who turned evil because his master did not seem to appreciate his strength. Fuelled by resentment and anger, he now works to destroy everything his previous Order stood for.
But enough about Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda. Let’s talk about Darth Vader!
More machine than man, he strikes terror into all who would oppose the Emperor. But did you know that under that buffed black armour lies a broken and frail man?
On this Revenge of the Sixth, let’s talk about how some simple safety tips could have protected Darth Vader, which would have made him stronger than ever!
1. Fireproof Coveralls
Always the rebel, Darth Vader wore stylish black robes even when he was a Jedi. Cool-looking? Definitely. Heat-resistant?
Well… his burnt skin is the reason why his suit is sealed up now. During his fateful battle with his former master on Mustafar, a volcanic planet, he was struck down and landed in fiery sand. If only he was wearing one of our fireproof coveralls instead! He’d have looked less cool, but at least he would be literally cool.
2. Respiratory Protection
Darth Vader’s mask is a terrifying symbol of the Empire. But its primary function was to simply allow him to breathe. His lungs were damaged by superheated volcanic ash in the air, so his mask had to do his own breathing for him. With our range of respiratory masks, perhaps Vader could have at least filtered out the impurities in the air for a safer breathing environment.
3. Safety Shoes & Boots

Did you know that none of Darth Vader’s limbs are organic? His stylish boots and gloves were no match for a lightsaber cut. Now, we’re not saying that our own safety boots and shoes would have protected him. But who’s to know? Regardless, we carry safety boots and gloves with high degrees of impact and abrasion resistance, so nothing short of a lightsaber would injure you if you wore them!
4. A Cool Head and a Calm Mind

When Darth Vader was taunted by his former master, he became arrogant and cocky. “You underestimate my power!” He leapt up, brandishing his lightsaber… and was promptly cut down to size.
Here at PDS we believe that the best defence against workplace accidents is common sense and preparation. Don’t react based on common wisdoms or emotions! Look at the necessary precautions to take, and take it.
