A Curve We've Yet To Crest

Writer's picture: Darren LimDarren Lim

Do you know what's the crest of a wave?

It's the highest point of a wave, highly sought after by surfers. When you're at the peak of a thundering wave, the exhilaration is unmatched.

However, Singapore is currently climbing a different kind of wave. The number of infected people has been rising steadily over the last few days.

That's why the government instituted this circuit breaker.

It almost feels like prison, doesn't it?

We get it, we really do. Staying home is super boring for social butterflies among us.

But the number of infections doesn't look like a curve yet, with a clearly defined crest. It's still rising exponentially.

And unless you want the curve to crest at a peak far higher than necessary, we need to stay home.

At PDS, we are dedicated to safety at the workplace. But our best efforts to stop the virus won't be effective if unnecessary trips outdoors continue.

There's a difference between the spirit and the letter of the law. Let's go with the spirit and do our part to keep our families, friends and nation safe.

Stay isolated, stay safe, and we'll soon crest the curve together.
