At PDS, we believe that everybody deserves to be cared for.
May Day Celebration with MWC
On Sunday 9th June, PDS was proud to have participated in the May Day Migrant Worker’s Celebrations. The event also celebrated the opening of the MWC Recreation Club at Soon Lee. Over 5,000 migrant workers were in attendance, alongside guest of honour Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Minister of Manpower. Together with other organisations determined to do good, we participated to help our audience live healthier and happier lives.
Eye Eye Captain!
Our objectives at the event were to educate the audience about often-overlooked habits that would benefit their safety and health. Leveraging on our experience in protective eyewear, we offered free eye tests through PDS SRX, our mobile optical service team. We also provided information on ways to protect our eyes at work.
Aye Me Hearty!
Safety goes beyond wearing protective gear! We encouraged our audience to live a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of chronic disease via informative posters. PDS also offered free blood pressure tests to raise awareness on cardiovascular health, encouraging our audience to live a life that’s good for their hearts.
Shiver me timbers!
And finally, we donated 2 massagers and 3 blood pressure monitors to the lucky draw prize pool to spur the lifestyle changes we taught.
When all’s said and done, it was a wonderful experience! We are excited to continue doing good via our passion: ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all people.
We are always on the lookout for new opportunities to promote workplace safety! If you have ideas in mind, drop us an email!
